Seven graduate students received awards as 2012-2013 Translational Science Training (TST) Scholars and one of the recipients was Arpan Satsangi, a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. candidate at UTSA.
The TST program at UT Health Science Center, San Antonio aims to enhance the quality and scope of the doctoral research experience by offering additional interdisciplinary research training and mentorship in Translational Science. The TST Scholars Award provides the doctoral students with funding to advance their research endeavors.
Currently, Satsangi is investigating ways to enhance drug delivery to breast cancer cells. This will help patients to better tolerate their chemotherapy treatment.
