Master’s Degree Application Deadlines

Applicants for admission as master’s degree-seeking, special, or non-degree-seeking students may apply for admission through the UTSA Online Graduate Application. The majority of graduate programs at UTSA participate in a rolling admissions process. Thus, applications are processed as they are received and offers of acceptance are made on a rolling basis until capacity is reached or the stated deadline has passed. To facilitate your successful transition into your graduate program, we highly recommend you submit your application as soon as possible within your admissions cycle.

Master application deadlines are specific to your applicant type, domestic vs. international. The deadlines will also vary by college or program. Please consult the list below for your college or program of interest. If your specific college or program, to include applicant type, is not listed, you should follow the 'General Graduate' application deadlines posted below.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure completion and submission of the application, a nonrefundable application fee, and all required supporting documents are on file with the Graduate School by the appropriate application deadline. To expedite admissions processing, applicants can use unofficial supporting documents to submit the application. You can contact graduateadmissions@utsa.edu with questions and/or review our Frequently Asked Questions webpage.

All applications are to be submitted by 5:00 PM Central Time Zone (U.S.). When the published deadline falls on a weekend, the application remains open until 5:00 PM Central Time Zone (U.S.) on the following open business day.

The following tables are a list of deadlines for all masters level programs. Please review deadlines listings carefully as missing a deadline may result in disqualification of a graduate application. Deadlines are subject to change, please continue to review this web-page for the most current information.

COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND PLANNING (CACP)

The following CACP deadlines are specifically for domestic and VIP applicants who are applying to a CACP graduate program. International applicants need to follow the general international application deadlines tab. Deadlines are also specific to the graduate program. If (n/a) is listed, that deadline type does not apply to the specific program.

Applications for CACP Master’s programs are processed as they are received and offers of acceptance are made on a rolling basis; therefore we strongly encourage applicants to apply as early as possible during the application period. This rolling admissions process allows qualified individuals to be admitted on a continual basis until capacity is reached or the deadline has passed.

Applications for COB graduate programs are processed as they are received and offers of acceptance are made on a rolling basis; therefore we strongly encourage applicants to apply as early as possible during the application period. This rolling admissions process allows qualified individuals to be admitted on a continual basis until capacity is reached.

Early Application Deadline (1): The early deadline applies to all applicant types including domestic, international and VIP. By meeting the early application deadline, candidates are considered for possible scholarship opportunities. Recognizing the complexity of applying as an international student, we highly recommend international applicants who reside outside of the United States and require processing of a student visa, submit application materials by the COB early application deadline.

Regular Application Deadline (2): The regular deadline applies to all applicant types including domestic, international and VIP. International applicants for COB graduate programs must meet the regular COB deadline date for full admissions consideration. Please note for international applicants, given the time-frame to complete the admissions process will vary by program and the time-frame to complete the visa process will vary by home country, we cannot guarantee an admitted international student will successfully enroll for the intended term. In some cases, an international student may need to consider deferment to the next available term by program. Thus, we highly encourage international students to apply as early as possible within your admissions cycle.

Late Application Deadline (3): The late deadline applies to domestic applicants only. Those who meet the late application deadline are not guaranteed a decision for the applied semester. Late applications may be deferred for consideration to the next available admission term by program.
