Postdoc Association
Established in 2021, the Postdoc Association seeks to be the voice and advocating body for all UTSA postdoctoral fellows. The Postdoc Association works collaboratively with The UTSA Graduate School Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Research, Economic Development and Knowledge Enterprise, and UT Health San Antonio to offer special events and research-focused programs to elevate the experience of all postdoctoral fellows at the University of Texas at San Antonio and its partnering institutions.
The purposes of the Postdoc Association are:
- To provide a social network and support group for postdoctoral fellows in order to create and community of support, engagement, and interdisciplinary research opportunities
- To connect postdoctoral fellows with resources and support services that are essential to gaining the most from the UTSA employment experience
- To increase communication among postdoctoral fellows, faculty, staff, and administration at UTSA
- To provide postdoctoral fellows with the opportunity to attend workshops, seminars, and conferences that will help them with their research, grant writing, and professional endeavors
- To foster an environment in which postdoctoral fellows can freely express their ideas and opinions on current issues, cutting-edge research, and other employee concerns
Postdoctoral Appreciation Week
Postdoctoral Appreciation Week (PAW) is held every academic year during the fall semester to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the postdoctoral fellows at UTSA!
