Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
Mission Statement of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at UTSA
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in the Graduate School at the University of Texas at San Antonio is committed to providing assistance to our postdoctoral fellows and their research mentors. It supports an environment for research, discovery and learning, scholarly activities, intellectual and creative endeavors, as well as public service and community engagement. The Graduate School ensures success of a multicultural and diverse group of graduate and postdoctoral fellows, in partnership with staff, faculty and administrators at UTSA, in Texas, the country and the world.
UTSA is on track to become a Research Intensive University, and our 100+ postdoctoral fellows across the university play an important role in our research and knowledge enterprise. At UTSA postdoctoral fellows are those who are in training with a research advisor and who are within 5 years of having attained their doctorate degree. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs serves as the hub for all UTSA postdoc fellows, including postdocs from UTSA’s partner institutions in San Antonio.
We provide the following career development activities and services:
- Workshops and Seminars
- grant/fellowship preparation
- manuscript writing
- CV and resume preparation
- job interviewing skills
