The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in the Graduate School at the University of Texas at San Antonio is committed to providing assistance to our postdoctoral fellows and their research mentors. It supports an environment for research, discovery and learning, scholarly activities, intellectual and creative endeavors, as well as public service and community engagement. Additionally, it ensures success of multidisciplinary groups of graduate and postdoctoral fellows, in partnership with staff, faculty and administrators at UT San Antonio, in Texas, the country and the world.

UT San Antonio is a Carnegie R1 institution, and our postdoctoral fellows across the university play an important role in our research and knowledge enterprise. Postdoctoral fellows are those who are in training with a research advisor and who are within 6 years of having attained their doctorate degree. Postdoctoral Affairs serves as the hub for all UT San Antonio postdoc fellows, including postdocs from its partner institutions in San Antonio.

Postdoctoral Affairs is a collaboration between the divisions of Academic Affairs and the Office of Research, and it is housed within the Graduate School Dean’s Office.
