The Members of the Graduate Faculty shall be composed of Graduate Faculty, Graduate Faculty Scholars, Graduate Faculty Adjoint, and Special Members.

 

Graduate Faculty are full-time tenure-track and full-time tenured faculty actively meeting their program's expectations and qualifications for sole-chairing dissertations for doctoral students.

Who is it? Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor FTT (Fixed-term track) and Faculty Members from other institutions  Faculty Members from other institutions with an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
What can I do?
  • Sole chairing dissertations for doctoral students ​
  • Teaching graduate courses​
  • Can serve on thesis and dissertation committees, and chair on thesis for Master's students ​
With a Special Membership appointment you may teach graduate courses or serve on graduate committees. Programs with an MOU with faculty from another institution are eligible to be Members of the Graduate Faculty. With an Adjoint Membership appointment you may teach graduate courses, serve on graduate committees, and chair thesis and dissertation committees.
