Membership in professional organizations is vital for the development and networking of our postdoctoral fellows. To ensure postdoctoral fellows have access to the professional organizations and networks that are so vital for their career pathways, fellows at UT San Antonio are eligible to apply for reimbursement for membership in professional organizations.
Eligibility
In order to receive reimbursement for membership in professional organizations, postdoctoral fellows must be employed as Postdoctoral Fellows at UT San Antonio. The professional organization must be relevant to your scholarly work at UT San Antonio, and membership in said organization must contribute meaningfully to your career pathway.
The Graduate School at UT San Antonio reimburses only annual membership dues for professional organizations. We are unable to reimburse multi-year membership dues to professional organizations.
Please note that in accordance with IRS guidelines regarding reimbursement, we are only able to provide reimbursement within 90 days of the original purchase date (as shown on the receipt).
Application Process
To apply for professional organization membership reimbursement, you must provide documentation (in the form of a PDF) that clearly identifies all of the following information:
- The name of the organization you are seeking membership reimbursement for
- The cost (in U.S. Dollars) of annual membership dues
- Your name
- The date you paid annual membership dues
